After graduating high school in 2019, I began my college journey at the University of Colorado Denver and started working as a barista at Bold Beans, a social enterprise of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Joining the Girls Inc. community turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Through this experience, I’ve had the privilege of crossing paths with so many inspiring individuals who continue to motivate and empower me in countless ways.
My college career has not been the typical four-year journey. When COVID-19 hit, I had to make the decision to pivot. There was a lot going on within my family and classes had just moved to online. Still working at Bold Beans, the Girls Inc community made sure to support and help me understand that life happens and many others had a college career longer than four years.
Now, In May 2025, I finished my associate’s degree in communications at Front Range Community College, and I’m starting a new academic journey at Metropolitan State University of Denver for my bachelors in communications. When Bold Beans closed Its doors in 2024, the programming transformed into Bold Business, where I was introduced to Barefoot Public Relations during the summer portion. Upon arrival, I knew that this company was aligned with my views. Bringing communities together by the power of storytelling and doing it in the cutest, collaborative office space!

Through this internship I am eager to learn about the Barefoot team’s client management process, witnessing the ideas go from brainstorming to reality. I have worked on many social media platforms during my time as a receptionist and salon coordinator at numerous studios and salons. The world of communications has always intrigued me due to its importance in life as well as the field of business. I am grateful to explore the different career options in the creative field that I enjoy—especially with a team of people who are passionate about helping others and building community.
