Training attorneys to elevate their nonprofit board service.

OurChallenge

Law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is known for its commitment to community involvement. More than 70 percent of the firm’s attorneys and policy professionals sit on nonprofit and civic boards. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the firm’s Director of Community Relations fielded constant questions about best practices for board members to guide organizations through budget, program, staffing and operational shifts, and was looking to provide an educational training that offered insight and CLE credits for participants.

OurSolution

Barefoot PR built a custom training to help answer common questions related to nonprofit budget pivots, staff/board relationships, executive director oversight and maintaining a healthy and accountable board. Each topic included best practices as well as more specific examples and consulting on the challenges presented by the pandemic. The training was built in partnership with one of the firm’s attorneys and qualified for CLE credit.

“We worked with Barefoot PR to develop an Advanced Nonprofit Board Training for our attorneys nationwide. From start to finish both Cori Streetman and Sarah Hogan were a pleasure to work with. They are true professionals with their content creation and engaging delivery. They are so knowledgeable in this space and provided exactly what we were looking for to elevate our trainings.”
