More Than Services: Messaging That Connects
Our Challenge
As a multicultural organization serving immigrants in the Northwest Colorado region, Comunidad Integrada Integrated Community (CIIC) saw an opportunity to develop messaging for the distinct audiences it serves (community members, partners and donors) while addressing each audience’s motivations. Specifically, CIIC wanted to create messaging that builds trust, forges connections and elevates its work to support future growth. Because immigrants in Routt, Moffat and surrounding counties face stigma and fear in today’s climate, many are hesitant to seek services. CIIC needed messaging that felt culturally grounded and opened the door to stronger connections across every community in Northwest Colorado.
Our Solution
CIIC was selected as one of Barefoot PR’s 2026 pro bono partners by our Strategy Team. The team was drawn to the opportunity to create messaging that speaks to multiple audiences while advancing connection and grounded multiculturalism. Our work included in-depth research on the Northwest Colorado region, CIIC’s work and the challenges community members face. We also held several sessions with staff to better understand their expertise and experiences as both community members and employees. From there, we created a messaging platform rooted in CIIC’s defining strength: an organization that is more than a list of services. CIIC is a connector and advocate for community members across Colorado, supporting them in their pursuit of seamless navigation, genuine belonging and shared success.
Results
A messaging platform rooted in community success that highlights the strengths of immigrants and community members alike. It also positions CIIC as a connector and advocate, not just a service provider, with language ready for use across its website, outreach, grant proposals and donor communications.
“I really appreciate the kind feedback and the incredible effort the team put into developing our new messaging platform—it's absolutely spot-on! We're all thrilled to begin integrating it into our community work.”
