Redefining 50 Years of Service Through Messaging

The Action Center

Our Challenge

For over 50 years, the Action Center has successfully served Jefferson County by meeting the community’s immediate needs. However, their legacy of service has created perceptions that haven’t kept pace with their significant growth and expansion. To support their evolving mission, Barefoot PR was tasked with creating messaging that clearly defines their role in the broader charitable ecosystem and communicates their purpose beyond emergency food assistance.

Our Solution

We positioned The Action Center as a comprehensive, family resource hub, detailing the breadth of their services and emphasizing their collaborative approach to care that achieves both immediate stability and long-term growth for community members. We incorporated family-oriented language to demonstrate the organization’s evolution toward achieving larger, intergenerational and systemic impact, while fostering relatability and community pride to reach new and younger audiences. To engage audiences at every level, we created tailored messaging for community members, partners and donors, providing clear entry points to deepen support.

Results

Strengthened perceptions amongst community members through a clear, engaging and updated organizational narrative.

Increased reach and engagement from new and existing audiences.
