Crafting Messaging that Grows Awareness Today and Innovation Tomorrow
Our Challenge
The Colorado Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF) is a statewide competitive STEAM program for middle and high schoolers, designed to turn today’s curious youth into tomorrow’s confident innovators. Facing shifts in public perception around science, competing priorities in young people’s lives and limited resources, the CSEF team tapped Barefoot PR to develop a messaging platform, toolkit and graphics package that set the foundation for growing brand awareness, sponsorships and fair participation.
Our Solution
We recognized the significant potential in CSEF’s mission and the positive impact its program has on the lives of former participants. Leveraging success stories, highlighting lesser-known benefits and addressing the specific motivations of each audience group, our messaging platform equipped the CSEF team with the language they needed to connect and build relationships with relevant groups as a trusted partner in fostering community and ushering in a future for science and humanity.
Our toolkit and graphics were designed to build upon the messaging. We provided the CSEF team with a mini communications plan, organized by audience, to help them prioritize the most effective next steps and platforms for allocating their limited time and resources. Additionally, we created ready-to-use graphics and templates to ensure visual consistency and strengthen brand awareness. Each deliverable was crafted with specific goals in mind: to empower the CSEF team to cultivate a lasting community, to help them meet their goals and to provide them with the tools needed to build a better future.
