As the statewide nonprofit membership organization, Colorado Nonprofit Association celebrated the vital contributions nonprofits make to communities across the state during Colorado Nonprofit Week. Without a staff member dedicated to external communications, the Association needed support to promote the weeklong celebration and engage members in the event. Additionally, the Association saw this campaign as an opportunity to boost attendance at its annual Colorado Nonprofit Week Awards Luncheon.
Barefoot PR developed a digital engagement roadmap that leveraged the Association’s members to promote the event and the weeklong celebration on social media. We also created a social media toolkit that outlined the daily themes, provided content prompts, included the hashtag and a guide to posting on social media throughout the week. In addition, we managed the Association’s social platforms throughout the week, actively engaging with members, posting and sharing content.
Our work resulted in:
- More than 90,000 impressions in a week on Facebook and Twitter
- Increase in likes and follows on Facebook and Twitter
- Use of the event hashtag nearly 100 times during this short time period
- Increased attendance from previous years at the awards event
