Empower Retirement (formerly Great-West Financial) built a powerful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program driven by the contributions of its associates. As a company, they were making a meaningful impact in the communities where employees lived and worked. However, they were struggling to turn metrics and data into meaningful and memorable stories. In addition, the company’s marketing team was maxed out managing a brand evolution, supporting product launches and focused on the brand of the business. Finally, Empower’s HR and sales teams were asking for tools to share the company’s CSR story with potential employees and customers.
Barefoot PR developed an interactive, visually driven report to bring Empower’s CSR story to life. Our work highlighted the meaningful community partnerships and support provided by the company and its people in communities across the country through content and design. In addition, we helped the internal team develop a case for support to engage company leadership in the storytelling process, and generated ideas for year-round promotion to support employee recruitment/retention, business development, training, nonprofit partner engagement and marketing.
