Leveraging earned and social media to Help the Newman Center leap into its 20th season
The Newman Center for the Performing Arts wanted to leap into its 20th Anniversary season with a free community event featuring the vertical dance group BANDALOOP. Our challenge was to leverage BANDALOOP’s visually stunning performance style to fill the lawns outside of the Newman Center for the Performing arts with a new audience who came to enjoy the show and stayed to learn about upcoming events at the Newman Center.
Barefoot PR developed a dynamic event communications plan that leveraged earned media and social media to build excitement before the performance and draw crowds to the Newman Center’s first free community event. We partnered with the Newman Center’s Marketing and Communications team to implement the plan over 9 weeks. Together we drew hundreds of community members to the University of Denver’s campus to watch this special performance. Our earned media and social media influencer outreach resulted in:
- 27 pieces of media coverage including print, broadcast and calendar listings
- An estimated audience reach of 39,825,766 people
- 144,776 coverage views
