Messaging to an international audience

Women’s Education Project (WEP) is an international organization dedicated to unlocking the potential in every young woman. After working in India for over two decades, WEP recognized an opportunity to expand its programming to countries and communities across the globe, including here in the United States. This expansion required compelling new messaging that could inspire donors worldwide to help the organization actualize its vision.

After learning more about Women’s Education Project signature programming, we engaged the core leadership team in a strategy session to understand the goals for new messaging. From there, the Barefoot PR team facilitated another strategy session with additional team members and alumni of the organization, based in New York and India, to understand the impact of WEP programming and the community-led structure.

Following this conversation, the Barefoot PR team started drafting a messaging platform that could usher the organization into its next era. During the course of our project, the vision for the organization grew. To ensure the messaging reflected the changes in the organization and the gender equality landscape worldwide, the Barefoot team met with WEP leadership multiple times throughout the project. The product of this process was a messaging platform that was flexible enough to serve the organization through this transition period and beyond. It was complete with key messages, audience-specific messages and proof points that they could use to share their vision for the future.
