OurChallenge
Anythink, a community-driven public library system serving Adams County, Colo., is committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning through innovative programming, welcoming spaces, and accessible resources. With its forward-thinking approach, educational events, and hands-on programming, Anythink stands apart from traditional libraries, offering a supportive environment where residents and visitors can connect, learn, and grow. Anythink engaged Barefoot PR to promote National Poetry Month — celebrated in April — as a way to help increase poetry awareness among writers and aspiring poets, and to boost participation at poetry-themed events held at Anythink locations.
OurSolution
Barefoot PR started with a strategy session to learn more about Anythink’s mission and history with National Poetry Month. After learning that National Poetry Month would be an extension of the library’s Poet Laureate program, “Sincerely,” Barefoot PR’s design team dialed in on a bright color palette and used the Sincerely program’s sound-wave logo as a jumping-off point. The new design for collateral emphasized the voice and communication style of poetry while the bright colors and modular design established a sub-brand that played nicely alongside Anythink’s modern branding.
As a result, Barefoot PR delivered various printed and digital design work to promote National Poetry Month events held throughout Anythink locations. Used in conjunction with strategic media outreach, the distribution of English and Spanish collaterals led to successful turnouts at Anythink’s community events and brought greater attention to poetry across all spaces.
